The Berlin-Based Door Communication Company DoorBird Is Turning Ten
Bird Home Automation GmbH, more commonly known as the brand DoorBird, is celebrating its tenth anniversary in November 2024. From Berlin to around the world, it has made a name for itself as a manufacturer of intelligent door communication products. 125 employees now work at the three sales offices and at the production plant with the goal of winning over customers and business partners. It all began with a smartphone-compatible video doorbell that was available in two colors. Today, the portfolio includes over 2,300 different door intercom models, indoor stations, upgrade and access control systems as well as accessories.
Founder and CEO Sascha Keller recalls: “We entered the market with a first prototype and instantly attracted a great amount of attention. Many interested parties were immediately impressed by the option to talk to visitors from anywhere and to open the door to them if necessary. The response was overwhelming!”
DoorBird’s success is the result of constant evolution. Continuously developing novel solutions for various building types, new modules, and a diverse range of surfaces, they didn’t stop with the first release of the D10x series. Finding the right product for every customer and their individual needs remains the company’s goal today.
