DoorBird was awarded by the Security Industry Association (SIA) at the 2021 SIA New Product Showcase Awards, the flagship awards program in partnership with ISC West recognizing innovative security products, services and solutions.

Accessible DoorBird was awarded by the Security Industry Association (SIA) at the 2021 SIA New Product Showcase Awards, the flagship awards program in partnership with ISC West recognizing innovative security products, services and solutions.

DoorBird was selected as the 2021 Honorable Mention in the category “Access Control Devices & Peripherals Hardware – Wireless”. The D1812 Hybrid Upgrade for DoorKing® was honored on June 17 during the virtual 2021 SIA New Product Showcase awards ceremony. The IP video door station will be on display from July 19-21 at ISC West – the nation’s largest converged security trade show – in Booth 14109 on the ISC West show floor.

The DoorBird D1812 is the first hybrid IP intercom for upgrading DoorKing® telephone intercom systems. The IP-based door station is designed and developed in Germany by Bird Home Automation, the leading manufacturer of IP products for door communication. The new model adds DoorBird IP technology to installations of the DoorKing® 1812 series while keeping their analog telephone intercom system running. The electronic core and the stainless-steel front panel in DoorBird design are easily installed via Power over Ethernet (PoE) and fit the existing DoorKing® 1812 housing perfectly. As a result, the new upgrade allows homeowners to have a state-of-the-art access control and intercom system with minimum effort.

“Each year, SIA’s New Product Showcase challenges companies to develop extraordinary, cutting-edge security technology products and solutions, and this year’s winners represent the industry’s best new offerings,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “SIA congratulates DoorBird for standing out among the entries in this highly competitive program.”
